6. Suggestions what people can write:
- -Visually appealing property with newly constructed wall and addition of trees along Allan Road
-Main gate is on a busy part of George Road by intersection with Allan Road – already got issues with traffic driving up the wrong side of the road during peak hours, so this could be dangerous for guests.
-There is only a single gate onto George Road, which means there could be instances of cars queueing on George road in order to access the Guest House – putting lives at risk on an already dangerous road?
-Maybe they should consider an entrance and exit?
-Guest houses are generally beneficial to the area and the kind of development that add value
-This property is going to be affected by the Road Master Plan (RMP) and when put into action, there will be no access via George Road. Does the proposal take this into account?
-According to the Road Master Plan, the entrance to this property will be via an Austin Road servitude, with access in the South Western corner of the property – do the proposed plans take this into account.
-According to the Road Mast Plan – George road is going to be widened to 32m – has this been taken into account?
-How is this guest house going to deal with sewerage? We can’t keep adding new septic tanks to our area because this is contaminating our water and soil.
-Who is controlling the number of septic tanks we have in Glen Austin?
-Who is monitoring the quality of our water to make sure that the increase in septic tanks due to development, is not affecting our borehole water system and quality of soil?
-Can COJ include a condition that the applicant implements an environmentally-friendly way of dealing with black water, that does not further contaminate our natural water systems?
